Hi there,

Length of maternity leave is usually established by the organization, so updating that policy to give her more time off would be something you can also use to attract/retain employees.

Best wishes,

Subject: [Michlib-l] Maternity Leave Policies

Good afternoon, Library Land!

I've been looking over our maternity leave policy in preparation for a staff member, and it's pretty antiquated. I'd love for anyone who's willing to share their policies with me. The employee is not eligible for the FMLA since she's not been here a year yet, so anything that deals with that situation, in particular, will be extremely helpful.

Thank you,
