Under the current school code, part 20 of 1976 PA 451, MCL 380.1451(5) & MCL 380.1451a
http://legislature.mi.gov/doc.aspx?mcl-451-1976-2-20, School Public libraries are prohibited from levying a designated voted library millage.
School Public Libraries are intended to be funded via the school district millage.
The original law (MCL 397.1451 authorized a millage until a 1994 amendment repealed that authorization).

Good morning!
I have a question for any of the Public/School Libraries out there. Our district would like to explore trying for a millage in the near future, and I was curious is there anything different/extra that needs to be done because of being Public/School
Library as opposed to a Public Library only?
