Hello All,

We would like to invite you to attend the Southeastern Michigan League of Libraries, (SEMLOL) 2025 Spring Meeting on April 8th from 2-4pm on Zoom.

During this meeting, we will be having a member of the Data Rescue Project team in to give a brief overview of the Project and their mission. After that, they will be walking us through the nuts and bolts of doing data rescue and/or metadata clean-up events so that you will be able to run these yourself.

The final 30-40 minutes of our meeting will be dedicated to getting to work on doing some data rescue and metadata clean-up of our own! We will break out into Zoom rooms to discuss further issues if you don’t feel ready to begin, with one room left open for those who are ready to begin doing active work where they can pop in and ask questions as needed.

You do not need to be a librarian to join us for this meeting or to be a great help to this Project! While this work is a great fit for the skill set of librarians, there is a lot of work to be done that does not require any advanced technical expertise, so please share widely with those you know to be interested in ensuring continued access to public data.

We hope to see you all there as we work together on this timely matter!

Please register using this Google Form so we can send you the link to our meeting.
