Hi MichLib,
On Saturday July 9th from 4– 5:30 p.m., Capital Area District Libraries will be hosting author Kate DiCamillo, the Newbery and Geisel Award-winning author of
Because of Winn-Dixie,
The Tale of Despereaux, and the
Mercy Watson series at The Wharton Center in East Lansing.
Her newest title,
Raymie Nightingale, debuted in April to rave reviews. DiCamillo is also serving as this year's
National Ambassador for Young People's Literature. Books will be available for sale and signing. Nearly 300 people have already registered for the event! WKAR is a media sponsor for Kate’s appearance.
