The Rochester Hills Public Library (RHPL) is hiring. RHPL has an opening for a Youth Librarian. Do you want to work with a vibrant and innovative team? Then this is the position for you. The Youth Librarian provides professional library information services to children, young adults, and/or adult customers. Such services include reader’s advisory, reference services and programming. Other responsibilities may include assignment(s) to a subject and/or service specialty area. Librarian positions require responsible, resourceful persons with a broad knowledge base. These employees work in close contact with the public and must understand the principles and techniques of public service. This is a part time (22.5) position.
The Rochester Hills Public Library is located in downtown Rochester, MI and is part of The Library Network and Metro Net Consortium, and we utilize the Polaris ILS as our computer system. The Board of Trustees and staff recently completed an ambitious strategic plan. Our mission is to empower people to explore and create with resources that enlighten, educate, entertain, and inform.
