[Michlib-l] Probationary Library Cards

Hello all, I was wondering which libraries had probationary periods for new library cards? How long are they on probation for? What kind of limits do you place on them? And most importantly, how do you maintain the system? How do you know to move a patron out of the probationary period? Thanks!
