After a four-year hiatus, the Michigan Instruction Exchange, MIX, is back! A low-cost, informal conference for library instructors across Michigan, MIX is an opportunity for academic and other interested librarians to gather and discuss instruction strategies, issues, and ideas.
Our theme/question for this year is how can we increase diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in library instruction?
We encourage librarians from all disciplines to attend. Please spread the word to any librarians interested in instruction (and let us know if you have any suggestions on how to get the word out).- Date: Friday, July 29, 2022
- Time: 9am-4pm (optional tour of Zhang Legacy Collections Center from 4-5pm)
- Location: Swain Education Library (Sangren Hall, 2nd floor) at Western Michigan University, in Kalamazoo, MI
- Cost: $15 -- thank you to MiALA for sponsoring this event and keeping the registration cost low!
Registration is now open (and limited to 80 attendees) -- sign up today, and please consider submitting a proposal to facilitate a discussion or activity!
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Dianna Sachs at dianna.sachs@wmich.edu or to me directly.
Hope you can make it!
