Hi All,

Last month I sent out an email requesting info from any libraries that have hosted a ‘Wine and Canvas’ event. Here is the best response I got (see below).

I have done them at several libraries in Illinois and our Friends group is planning one at the Bayliss Library this spring.  They have always been very popular and well attended. Find out any ordinances your town may have beforehand, but most say as long as you are not selling it and limited the amount served you are fine.  You might also want to check with your liability insurance provider.  They sometimes have riders about serving alcohol.  Good luck.

Hi All,

We have had several patrons ask if we could hold a ‘Wine & Canvas’ event here at CTL. Have any of you done this at your library? How did it go?

Thanks,

Julie Censke
