Job Summary:

Provides leadership and coordination of planning, delivery, and evaluating library reference services. Also coordinates the promotion, outreach, and integration of library resources into LCC programs. Collaborates with the Manager of Technical Services and Systems and Electronic Resources Management Librarian to meet the collection needs of the LCC community. Participates in faculty librarian activities including in-person and virtual reference assistance, information literacy instruction and outreach, collection development and the creation of resource guides. Works effectively with other faculty and staff in a rapidly changing team environment. Participates in department, division, and college-wide committees.

Required Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Library Information Science from an ALA accredited institution or related field

Significant recent library reference experience

Experience in library outreach and subject area liaison activities

Teaching or information literacy instruction experience

Familiarity with library and educational technologies such as integrated library systems, course management systems, presentation tools, and Springshare products

Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience in a team based environment

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Exceptional customer service focus and commitment to service excellence

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in working with program accreditations and certification requirements

Commitment to engage in continuing professional development

Experience coordinating collection development
