Child Nutrition Programs (CNP) Bulletin No. 29 - 2027 CNP: Coordinated Application – Important Information

The 2027 CNP: Coordinated Application is now available for sponsors who participate in the Summer Food Service Program. Sponsors will have until Thursday, May 14 to submit a full and complete application to the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) for review. Applications must be approved before Summer Food Service Program operations can begin.

Please Note: If you do not participate in the Summer Food Service Program, the application is not open to you yet. MDE is releasing the application in phases to allow our staff time to provide the best customer service and application processing time for sponsors. Sponsors who do not participate in Summer Food Service Program will have the 2027 CNP: Coordinated Application made available to them in May.

Important Things to Know: 

• Initiating the 2027 Application
• Please make sure that you are correctly initiating your 2027 application by selecting the option that includes “COORDAPP-2026... (Application Approved)”. Then click “Proceed”.
• If you choose the option, “DO NOT COPY FORWARD” then none of the data from your previous application will pull forward into your new application and you will start with a blank application. This would cause a lot more work for your organization!

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
