Tender at the Bone and Comfort Me with Apples by Ruth Reichl are excellent memoirs with recipes.

I really enjoyed Roy Choi's L.A. Son: my life, my city, my food.  It's an autobiography, so there's plenty of content to read, and recipes in every chapter.

Subject: [Michlib-l] Cooking Books

Hello Everyone,

We are working with a local cooking school to put together a book discussion group. The program will feature a discussion of a cooking book, followed by a cooking class and/or demonstration based on recipes in the book. I am curious as to whether anyone has ideas for good books to use for such a program. Any input is appreciated.

Thanks,
