The Public Libraries of Saginaw seeks a bright and dynamic Branch Head for a full-time position in Saginaw, MI.  

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the general direction of the Library Director, a Library Branch Head serves as Librarian-in Charge of a branch library, providing leadership for Branch staff and managing the overall service plan and operation of the branch which includes collection development and maintenance, services and programs, customer and community relations, outreach and partnership development, and oversight of the general maintenance and security of the library building and grounds.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The successful applicant will have:

·        Master's degree in library and information science from an ALA accredited institution

·        Five years of recent, progressively responsible professional public library experience

·        Demonstrated passion for public service

·        Strong supervisory experience

·        Advanced computer/technology skills and experience with providing quality digital services

SALARY RANGE

Annual full-time salary is $56,493 - $71,178 in six steps.  Excellent benefit package.
