The Norton Shores Branch of the Muskegon Area District Library had a musical event this past May that was so popular I wanted to send out a recommendation. Plain Jane Glory, a husband & wife duo from Muskegon, MI, simply enchanted our audience with their Neo-Folk/Americana music that was uplifting, heartbreaking, moving and nostalgic! They use a variety of instrumentation including vocal harmonies, violin/fiddle, acoustic guitar, banjo, harmonica and percussion to create an impressively big sound. Michael Boxer and Laura Crosswait have so much charisma and warmth, and that along with their outstanding musical abilities created a truly a special evening of music at the Library. The program was a combination of traditional and popular Americana and country songs along with the duo’s own amazing original music that created a perfect blend. Plain Jane Glory has one CD released and a brand new one dropping this month. Again, the duo hails from Muskegon, MI, and are willing to travel. Their website is available at http://www.plainjaneglory.com/ .  The Norton Shores Branch Library will definitely have Plain Jane Glory back again—it was an outstanding concert!
