You won't want to miss Anna Clark, author of The Poisoned City, the Neighborhood Library Association’s selection for our ninth annual Community Reads book. You can meet Ms. Clark and hear about the journey taken by the citizens of Flint. The event will be held on Friday, November 9 at 7:00 p.m. at Wixom Public Library, 49015 Pontiac Trail, Wixom, Michigan.
A full account of the Flint, Michigan, water scandal, an American tragedy, from an award-winning Michigan journalist, Anna Clark, The Poisoned City recounts the gripping story of Flint’s poisoned water through the people who caused it, suffered from it, and exposed it. It is a chronicle of one town, but could also be about any American city, all made precarious by the neglect of infrastructure and the erosion of democratic decision-making.
