Just re-sharing some helpful links. The Boston site has some welcome & end templates that you can post, as well as a fantastic 37 page guide that talks about how to display a StoryWalk®, and costs involved, on page 23:

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.

Hi Stephanie,

We did an experimental Storywalk using political yard signs. I asked for donations and got enough to make our Storywalk. We did “Stickman” during the holidays and the community enjoyed it.  Kids from the school even walked over to see it too. We asked kids to create their own stick people and leave them along the storywalk. I laminated the pages onto a posterboard and then taped two laminated posterboards over each side of the political signs (but the story was just on one side.) It held up well for the month we had it.

Dear Librarians,

I want to experiment with a story walk at our library. I don't want to invest in expensive sign holders. Does anyone have a suggestion where to buy the sign frames?
