Hello!

I just wanted to share this invitation again to anyone who may be interested in learning about how to better serve patrons with disabilities as far as library programs go, although I suspect we will definitely discuss other library services, adaptations, tech, signage and other related topics as well. We intend to invite library staff and non-library staff, with and without disabilities, to share insight, resources, and experiences so that we may learn and enhance our understanding of the library experience for people with disabilities - and how to improve it. This will be virtual monthly meetings.

Please fill out this Google Form if you are interested. We've already met once and will be meeting again during the last week of this month.

As far as I know, there are a few other professional meetings and some libraries already provide inclusive and disability-centered programs and resources. The American Library Association also has communities, discussion boards, and a workgroup if you have an ALA membership.

I've accumulated a lot of information in a Google Sheet which anyone in this group will have access to and can also share resources in.

Have a good night! :)
