Census 2020

On Jan. 22, ALA released the updated Libraries’ Guide to the 2020 Census.

The 2020 Census will begin in less than 2 months, and we know many library staff will receive questions from their patrons. The Libraries’ Guide to the 2020 Census is ALA’s resource with background information, frequently asked questions, and tips for libraries. Originally released in 2019, the updated Guide reflects the latest information and resources.

Please share this free resource (22-page PDF) with your colleagues who may have questions. (Or if they’re pressed for time, see ALA’s 2-page “2020 Census: Key Facts for Libraries.”)

2020 Youth Media Awards! 

The American Library Association (ALA) announced the top books, digital media, and audio books for children and young adults – including the Caldecott, Coretta Scott King, Newbery and Printz awards – at its Midwinter Meeting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
