I'm very disappointed that, for a second time, I need to post that Governor Whitmer talks about the importance of "every child reads" without mentioning libraries. Is there any way to get her to be more aware that having access to public and school libraries is an important part of achieving this goal?

Perhaps it would be possible for MLA and MASL to develop a letter-writing campaign or lobbying effort to convey this point.

MelCat & Mel Are at Risk!

saveimls.org

A federal Executive Order may cut all funding for these essential library services by Sept 2025.

MelCat = 34 million items from 435 MI libraries
Mel = free eBooks, magazines, research tools & more
Small libraries like GLADL depend on them!
