Are you looking to boost your income?  The AHPL is seeking a qualified Substitute Librarian to provide professional library services to users of all ages.  This position is on an “as needed basis”. 

 

Position: Substitute Librarian

Hourly Pay: Up to $19.00 based on experience.  

Hours: Weeknights and weekends including Sundays.  Weeknight shifts are generally 5-8 p.m. 

 

Primary Duties:  

• Serve as reference and readers advisory to library users in-person and by phone. 
• Assist computer users. 
• Other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications/Skills:  

• MLIS from accredited institution. 
• Experience working in public libraries preferred. 
• Flexibility and dependability. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
