The theme of the next FOML Trustee Alliance workshop is "Knowledge is Power: What Trustees Need to Know about Library Governance" and it's coming up on Friday, October 14th, 2016 at the Kalamazoo Public Library - Central Branch! However, you must register by Friday, September 30th.
We will have special guest speaker Josie Parker and her topics include:
- "The Power and Limitations of Library Trustees: What's Being a Trustee All About?"
- "Knowledge Is Power: Lessons Learned About Trustee Governance"
- "Talk About Trustees: What Knowledge About Governing Your Library Can You Share?"
- and "Knowledge Is Power: Lessons Learned and Knowledge Gained from Today's Workshop"
FOML Trustee Alliance workshops are a great time to network with other Trustee groups, tour the Kalamazoo Public Library, and spend a day learning how to support your library!
Remember, 2016 FOML Trustee Alliance members receive a discount. If you haven't had time to renew your Trustee Alliance membership yet, you can do so online here.
I hope to see you there!
