Hi all, the International Visual Literacy Association would like to invite you to join us for our first annual online Virtual Symposium, taking place this March 11, 2026. The day will begin with a plenary session, "Visual Literacy at the Threshold: Reflections from the Journal of Visual Literacy's Special Issue on Generative AI," from editor Maria Avgerinou highlighting the new special issue on AI, along with the issue's guest editors Irene Karayianni and Konstantinos Leftheriotis.

The schedule  has an exciting mix of papers from IVLA scholars around the world, bringing a wide range of interests and issues of importance to the field of visual literacy. We look forward to seeing you there!
