I have had a couple inquiries recently regarding the Braille Enhanced StoryWalks® that Stephanie & I were hoping to start circulating this Fall. Unfortunately, due some supply and work delays, the kits will not be ready for public libraries to check-out until early this coming Spring. Please stay tuned, once we are able to make these available for placing holds, I will let the library community know! While we regret not being able to get these into your hands this Fall, we are looking forward to the Spring when weather is nice and families can engage with your library through outdoor StoryWalks®.

For libraries with access to braille resources and are interested in creating their own Braille Enhanced StoryWalk®, please feel free to use the following resources:

Subject: Braille Enhanced StoryWalks(r) 2022

Hello,

We are thrilled to let the MI public library community know that the Braille Enhanced StoryWalk® program will be returning in 2022! However, after some time for reflection, the Library of Michigan and the Michigan Braille and Talking Book Library have decided the brailled storywalks® will be circulated (much like the NASA @ My Library kits) out to libraries for return after use, helping us to better serve a larger range of libraries across Michigan. Due to this change, we will not have the kits ready for circulation until late Summer/early Fall. Once they are completed and ready for reservations, we will announce it across the listservs and libraries will then be able to book their story choice/dates for use on KitKeeper. Each year we will be adding a new story to the list of options and are looking forward to growing this collection!

Thank you for your patience,

Stephanie Wambaugh & Cathy Lancaster
