Hi all,
Thanks to feedback from MeL users and the skill of web designers, the results display from performing a
Discovery Search as found on the MeL homepage has a new look. We hope it makes the searching process more useful.
Here is a list of some of the changes:
·
New material type icons that provide differentiation between Periodicals and News, print books and ebooks, government documents, archival
materials, images, maps/atlases, and others;
·
“Refine by:” area highlighted against a green background (left side)
·
11 “Refine by:” facets displayed in bold black text
·
Options available within each facet displayed in blue text
·
5 of the 11 “Refine by:” facets automatically collapsed to conserve display space (can be expanded as needed)
·
Default display shows the full list of results which can quickly be sorted into 2 categories – MeLCat, and, Articles & eResources – by clicking
on the appropriate tab at the top of the list.
