Please see the 2014 Michigan Reads press release attached! The Library of Michigan and the Pleasant View Magnet School in Lansing are kicking off the 2014 program today, Monday, September 8^th with author Kwame Alexander and State Superintendent of Education Mike Flanagan. We will be promoting the program through September and October with 11 more library and school visits with Kwame and illustrator Tim Bowers throughout the state.

All the program kits have been mailed to public libraries, K-2 school buildings, Head Start and Great Start Readiness programs. As you do your children’s programming this fall, please include Michigan Reads. Send us pictures and stories as well!
