Hi!

We hosted Battle Creek author/adventurer Loreen Niewenhuis at our library Saturday afternoon and were so pleased with her presentation! 

She spoke about her 1,000-mile journey walking around sections of all the Great Lakes, but she also does a presentation on her 1,000-mile journey walking around Lake Michigan. She just completed walking 1,000 miles around islands in the Great Lakes and will be publishing a book about that in the spring.

She's a great speaker: funny, informative, approachable, and so interesting...she even makes geology fascinating! She's been featured in the Detroit Free Press, the Chicago Sun-Times, and Country Woman magazine among many others. I highly recommend her.
