All,

As you likely have, for some time we have been hearing rumbling and rumors that one or more of the digital components of the former Baker & Taylor was to be resurrected. That would now appear to be the case or at least, the intent with Charlotte, NC based (just like B&T was!) LibraryOne Digital, Inc.

From the looks of it the idea is to use the former B&T TS360 product both as a paid subscription database for print collection development (but not ordering) as well as a marketplace for digital ordering for the Boundless (previously Axis360) now LibraryOne digital platform.

Under https://www.libraryone.com/publishers is a tag that reads "Why Publishers Can Trust Us" Use the word publisher and library interchangeably there and I would like to know the answer to that question myself.

Call me skeptical.

We've also been hearing similar revival rumors about the former B&T cataloging utility BTCat, although the OCLC action instituted might have served to put the brakes on that https://www.wakeforestlawreview.com/2026/01/checked-out-the-fall-of-bt-in-the-library-metadata-wars/
