We just changed our faxes to free, previously we charged $2 for the first page and $1 for every page after.  For us it came down to the fact that we pay regardless as our phone is a set price, so we decided to make it free as our phone isn’t dependent upon patron usage.

We charge 50¢ per page. We do a ton of faxing, so we break even.

We charge $1/page UNLESS it is going to government - then it is free.

Subject: [Michlib-l] Fax charges

Hello Michigan Libraries,

What is everyone charging for fax service? Our fax line bill is over $200 a month. We charge $1 for the first page and 50 cents per page after.
