December Monthly Library Law Spotlight Webinar this Friday, 12/17/2021 10am – 11:30 am
Libraries and schools in Michigan and across the country are being targeted by groups challenging books and materials that discuss subjects as diverse as "Teen Legal Rights,"
and "Me and Earl and the Dying Girl." Many challenged titles are ones involving LBGTQ+ themes. This session will discuss intellectual freedom in libraries, and how libraries can prepare for a materials challenge.
Deborah Caldwell Stone, Director of the American Library Association’s Office of Intellectual Freedom will be presenting.
