Job Opening – Summer library intern: The City of Negaunee is currently accepting applications for an unpaid summer internship.  The qualified applicant will be responsible for assisting with summer reading program planning, preparation, and implementation.  Minimum qualifications: high school diploma or GED equivalent; a desire to work with children; knowledge of basic computer and internet use; ability to communicate effectively and in writing; must pass drug test.  Current enrollment in an MLIS program or other library science degree is highly preferred.  Second preference will go to elementary education undergraduate students, or other undergraduate students with library experience and an interest in pursuing a library career.  Hours will be flexible depending on a student’s internship requirements, if the internship is for credit.  Saturdays required.  Applications and resumes will be accepted until the position is filled.
