Hi Everyone,

It has come to my attention that all Scholastic resources have been removed from EBSCO databases and as a result are no longer available through the Michigan eLibrary.  It is not unusual for changes to be made in what is offered through aggregators like EBSCO.  However, the magnitude of this change and its potential impact on MeL users—especially our K-12 community necessitates special mention. Here’s what we know right now:

• It appears Scholastic is not renewing its contracts with ANY content aggregators.
• EBSCO removed the content as soon as they were notified the contract would not be renewed.
• We are aware of the challenges this presents to those who depend on this content for use in the classroom and beyond.
• This change should be considered permanent.
