Interlochen Public Library seeks an innovative community-focused leader to serve as its next Library Director. The ideal candidate will have a 4 year college degree, working towards a Masters in Library Science and experience working in a library. This person will cultivate community partnerships and communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, should have extensive knowledge of library best practices in a progressive environment and foster excellence in public service.
Interlochen Public Library has 9 employees, is collaborative, community-focused, and cutting-edge; the next Library Director will be one with the vision and demonstrated skills to continue this trajectory and take the system to the next level. Training will begin November 1, 2020. Our present director is retiring December 31, 2020.
