Michigan Department of Education officially launched their new “Parent Dashboard” for school transparency this week.
This online dashboard
www.MISchoolData.org/ParentDashboard is designed especially for parents and other caregivers and contains the information they care about most when learning about their children’s schools. It is a collaborative effort involving a variety of state agencies,
and the State Board of Education. The website centralizes data on everything from standardized test scores to attrition and expulsion numbers and data about student-staff ratios, among a host of other information
Library administrators may want to explore the site to learn about potential P-20 partners and the communities of students they serve. You may also find it helpful to inform your patrons of the new Parent Dashboard resource so they can
learn more about schools their children attend.
The resource has also been added to the Parent Resources section of the MeL Teachers portal:
