The Frances Willson Thompson Library at the University of Michigan - Flint is currently seeking candidates to fill two librarian positions. We are looking for flexible, self-motivated, enthusiastic individuals to engage in liaison work, instruction, public service and other projects as needed. These positions will hire in at the assistant librarian level.

Required Qualifications*
  • Accredited Masters’ degree in Library or Information Science from an ALA-accredited program
  • Experience conducting reference interviews and literature searches in a variety of databases
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse faculty, students, and staff as well as in a team environment
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications*
  • Two years of relevant work experience, especially in an academic library
  • Experience and/or interest in designing and delivering library instruction to students and faculty.
  • Experience and/or interest in scholarly publication, including aspects of copyright and open access.
  • Experience and/or interest in data management, curation, and visualization.
  • Experience and/or interest in library outreach and campus engagement.
