The Pere Marquette Railroad Bridge in Port Huron, Michigan, is one of eight known Abt Bascule bridges constructed in the US. This bridge crossed the Black River near the St. Clair River from the early 1930's into the 1970's. The property on which it stands was purchased by the Port Huron Yacht Club in 2011. On July 1, 2020, pursuant to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and the Port Huron Yacht Club (PHYC) entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) in connection with an application for a permit to remove the former Pere Marquette railroad bridge, which is located on property currently owned by PHYC. Historical documentation of the bridge, including a written document, photographs, and DVD, are being added to the Michigan Room (local history collection) at the St. Clair County Library System's Port Huron location.
