There is a recall of certain years and models of SurgeArrest surge protectors.  At Benzonia Public Library, we just removed 4 from service.  The Consumer Product Safety Commission says “The surge protectors can overheat, smoke and melt, posing a fire hazard.”  The details and photos are at http://www.cpsc.gov/en/Recalls/2014/Schneider-Electric-Recalls-APC-Surge-Protectors/.
