On Tuesday, April 5, at 7:00 pm EDT, the Clarke Historical Library at Central Michigan University will host award-winning photograph Steve Jessmore. A CMU alum and former Central Michigan University Photographer, he will speak about his incredible career transformation. For nearly four decades, Jessmore worked in journalism and as a photographer for colleges and universities across Michigan. When the 2020 COVID-19 shutdown limited opportunities to photograph people in action, he turned his attention to non-human life. The result: within a year, Jessmore's photographs won top prize (pictured below) and honorable mention in the professional category of the prestigious Audubon Photography Awards.
