AdviseMI is Hiring: Seeking Applicants

MCAN is currently hiring a college adviser for our AdviseMI program. This adviser will be serving East Detroit High School. Please spread the word to recent graduates (Bachelor's) you know who are interested in stepping into the college access field.

The AdviseMI program embeds well-trained, dedicated, near-peer college advisers in high schools that serve significant numbers of low-income and first generation college-going students. Advisers will commit to a term of service beginning immediately upon hire through June 2016. In an effort for the Advisers to be fully enmeshed in the fabric of the local communities, Advisers are expected to live in the community in which they are assigned. This position provides a stipend of $12,720.00 with an education award of $2,865 with the ability to renew your commitment for a second year beginning in July 2016* at $24,000 and an education award of $5,730.

*dependent on performance evaluation

Recent college graduate (Bachelor's degree conferred 2014 or 2015)
Available to begin immediately upon hire
Flexibility to relocate to the metro Detroit area
