I regret to inform you that our former Chairman of the Board, Hon. Duane J. Salswedel, passed away yesterday morning at 87.  Duane served on the Oxford Public Library Board of Directors for nearly 4 decades. Most of those years were as Chairman of the Board.  Duane also served the greater good of the library community outside Oxford as Chair of the Public Library Trustee Association of Oakland County (PLTAOC).  Duane retired from the Board just two years ago. 

Arrangements will be under the care of Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors (Bossardet Chapel) in Oxford.  Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM on Tuesday, December 11, and from 10 to 11 AM on Wednesday, December 12—his funeral will be at 11 AM on Wednesday.  More details can be found at: https://www.lynchandsonsoxford.com/obituaries/Duane-J-Salswedel?obId=3906818#/obituaryInfo
