Greetings!

Last month, you received notice of an upcoming award opportunity: the State Literacy Awards, sponsored by the Library of Congress. Nominations must be submitted to the Michigan Center for the book by December 6, 2019! Applications are available from Tim Gleisner at gleisnert@michigan.gov. See below for more details and good luck to all!

The Library of Congress is again sponsoring their State Literacy Awards.  If you would like to nominate a program, please contact the Michigan Center for the Book [MCFB] for application forms via Tim Gleisner at gleisnert@michigan.gov.

Nominations must be submitted to MCFB by December 6, 2019 with award notification in February 2020.  Nominees must be non-profits and cannot be an individual.

Applicants are competing for 10 prizes of $2,225.  Only one nominee per state can be submitted to the Library of Congress.

Past winners are not eligible for 5 years. Sorry Rochester Hills Public Library, you will have to sit this one out after winning your award last year for ‘Authors in April’!

Best of luck to you!

Donna
