Hello Trustee Alliance Friends,

The theme of the next Friends of Michigan Libraries (FOML) Trustee Alliance workshop is "Strategic Thinking, Strategic Planning:  How Trustees Can Plan for Success" and it's coming up on Friday, October 2nd, 2015 at the historic Carnegie Building across the street from the Petoskey District Library!

We have special guest speaker Sarah Ann Long and her topics include:

  • The Value of Strategic Planning & Steps Toward Achievement
  • Assessing Your Plans:  How Do You Measure Success?
  • How Strong is Your Board?  Board Development Strategies
  • Director-Board Relationships:  Working Together for Success

FOML Trustee Alliance workshops are a great time to network with other Trustee groups, tour the Petoskey District Library, and spend a day learning how to support your library!

Please keep in mind that this is a similar program that was presented at the Spring workshop last April at the Rochester Hills Public Library.

If you haven't already signed up, you will find online registration for this workshop here.  If you aren't able to register online or if you need a registration form, you may contact Linda Pierce at lpierce1@kettering.edu or (810) 762-9840.

Planning an overnight stay in beautiful northern Michigan for this workshop? Here's a list of area hotels.

Remember, seating is limited and registration closes on Friday, September 11, 2015.
