Head Librarian

Cranbrook Kingswood Upper School is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and innovative Head Librarian to lead the Upper School Library Department, manage our two campus libraries, and lead the Upper School faculty, staff, and administration into the future of information analysis, management, and services. The Head Librarian reaches out to student groups and academic departments to inform, educate, and integrate library  resources  and  services into  various  aspects  of  the  student  experience.   Supervising  two  library assistants, the Head Librarian ensures that both libraries meet the multifaceted needs of the school, and that student and faculty technology support is robust. As  a  full-time  member  of  the  Upper  School  faculty,  the  Head  Librarian contributes  to  a  large  extra-curricular  program  such  as  Athletics,  Debate,  or  Robotics.    Additionally,  the  successful  candidate  has  a demonstrated commitment to work in an extraordinarily diverse and inclusive community, to commit to making a positive impact on the lives of adolescents through personal relationships, to set a positive tone, and to treat students as individuals within the context of a broader community. Cranbrook  is  a PK-12  school  with  a  vibrant  boarding  component  in  grades  9-12.
