Library Assistant, Youth Services (part-time) Under the supervision of the Youth Services Librarian, this position performs a variety of duties and responsibilities that assists in the smooth and efficient operation of the library; plans library programs for infants, toddlers, youth, and teens; provides readers advisory and informational assistance to all ages; assists in maintaining the youth section of the library; assists with community and school outreach; assists as requested in other areas of the library. Posting deadline: Friday, August 23, 2013 at 5 p.m. Clerk, Circulation (part-time) Under the supervision of the MeLCAT/Circulation Librarian, this position performs a variety of duties and responsibilities that assists in the smooth and efficient operation of the library, including charging books, magazines, and other library holdings in and out of the circulation desk; checking incoming materials and inspecting them for damage; operating a variety of standard office machines including a computer and cash register. Duties also include preparing holds for patrons as well as contacting them regarding overdue material.
